October Update 2020

By Jo | 19th October 2020 | Shop, Cafe, Camping, Feed Shed

Despite current events, everyone at the The Mile Farm Shop has been working hard to deliver the exceptional service that our loyal customers have come to expect. Whether that’s serving tea and coffee in The Mile cafe or providing a cozy spot to relax on our pastoral campsite, we have done our best to keep everyone happy.

And with that comes some important updates to our services that we just know you are going to love. True to the grit and hearty determination of us Yorkshire lot, our local suppliers are still toiling away to provide the freshest fruit, veg, meat that you know and love,  we are pleased to announce that we are still delivering right to your doorstep. There is also an option to click and collect !

But that’s not all. As the winter sets in and we cozy up by the fireplace, do so with our rustic  Netted Seasoned Hardwood Logs and a range of alcohol and spirits, such as the delicious Finders Chocolate & Coffee Spiced Rum or lashings of Hedgerow Blackberry and Apple gin. We pride ourselves on offering goods sourced from Yorkshire and giving back to local business owners.

On that note, as Christmas approaches, make sure to pick up one of our hampers packed with goodies, such as the Pocklington Hamper which is lovingly parcelled with fifteen artisan products ranging from Brackenhill Chutney, Mercers Jam, Sloemotion miniatures and more! There are 12 hampers to select from, all containing something for everyone.

Don’t just pamper yourself, though. We also offer a broad variety of animal and pet supplies in the ‘Feed Barn’ section of our website where you can find items such as Heygates country feeds horse mix or a luxury bag of Burgess Sensitive Dog Food with British Lamb & Rice. All of our animal and pet supplies are selected to provide your furry companions with the very best nutrition and care—it’s the Yorkshire way.

All of this can be delivered FREE to our local customers, but you can still come and visit our shop in Pocklington. Social distancing rules do apply and you must wear a mask to protect the health, safety and well-being of our community. We plan to remain open until the end of days, but only by sticking to the rules and soldiering on can we ensure that local businesses do not suffer another strict lockdown.

And while it’s never polite to reference someone’s age, we care dearly about our more elderly customers and we would much prefer they stay at home and allow us to deliver directly to their doorstep, safely. You’re in safe hands with the Mile Farm Shop.

That’s all for this month, but make sure to check back for more news, updates and articles from the Mile Farm family. We look forward to seeing everyone without their masks once again in the near future.

Stay safe!
