We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary of business at the Mile-Farm Shop in Pocklington this year – and what a journey we’ve had.
The Barnes family have been farming in the Pocklington area for decades – the original farm shop and feed shed was established by Ken and Colin Barnes in 1997, supplying animal feed and food from two huts on the site of a former pig farm to the local farming community.
Over the last 20 years, our business has evolved and now we have a purpose-built farm shop and feed shed; a 27 seat café and children’s play barn; a two-acre Camping & Caravan Club accredited site and a photo printing studio. We’re also Pocklington’s official UPS collection point.
Jo and Colin say: “Our business has evolved with the times and we’ve tried to continually introduce new services to cater for local demand. We bring fantastic artisan food and drink products from quality local suppliers and, more recently, we’ve launched a photo studio with support from Fujifilm.”
To celebrate our 20 years, we will be offering mince pies and mulled wine to all of our customers old and new as a thank you for your custom on Saturday 9 December.
