Autumn’s best Yorkshire produce

At The Mile-Farm Shop and Smile Cafe we like to “keep it local” by offering to our customers the very best Yorkshire produce from the best local suppliers.

This Autumn we have some fantastic stuff on offer, showcasing some of the brilliant producers close to our home.

On sale this month in the Farm Shop, we have:

The new Original Chilli Bomb gift sets from the award-winning The Chilli Jam Man based in Malton. These are guaranteed to make boring food brilliant!

Each ‘Bomb’ in the range includes a trio of chilli jams in 200g jars.

The Smoky Chilli Bomb has three gorgeous fruity, smoky flavour jams in a mild, medium and hot chilli level.

While the Ultra Chilli Bomb includes the hottest chillis in the range, so not for the faint-hearted. This pack features The Podfather Chilli Jam, Ginja Ninja Chilli Jam and The Reaper Chilli Jam.

We’ve also got the amazing Blood Orange Shimmer Vodka Liqueur with added sparkle from Malton-based producer Raisthorpe Manor.

It’s a smooth and tangy shot bursting with flavour and a hint of shimmering sparkle.

We have amazing salad dressings, mayonnaises and oils from Thixendale-based supplier Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil.

Dressings include Smoked Chilli, Honey & Mustard, Mint & Balsamic and Lemon & Poppy Seed.

Oils come in Garlic, Lemon and Chilli varities, while we have mayonnaises in Lemon, Garlic and Oak Smoked.

From Bracken Hill Yorkshire Preserves, why not try their Caramelised Carrot Chutney, Caramelised Apple or Yorkshire Cider Chutney or our favourite – the Yorkshire Wold Top Real Ale Pickle.

Got a sweet tooth? Mercers of Wheldrake‘s Salted Caramel is a winner.

Or you could try Sheila’s (Colin’s Mum) homemade lemon curd and Raspberry Jam.

To wash it all down, we’ve got ales and stouts from the East Riding-based Great Newsome Brewery, such as Sleck Dust blonde beer & Jem’s Stout.
